人の予定だけではなく、今後の環境についての(根拠のある)予測などについても、be going to を使って伝えることができます。
その際に、be going to の後の動詞が、”be”となることがあります。
It is going to be rainy (雨雲が空を覆い始めたので=根拠=、この後雨になるでしょう)
You are going to be hungry in the afternoon if you don’t eat lunch. (お昼に何も食べないと=根拠=午後にはお腹が空いてしまうよ）
